How we handle your data

This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It's written for humans — if anything is unclear, get in touch.

Who we are

TheAISelect is operated by its author as an individual from Spain. This site complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPDGDD).

What we collect

We collect only the minimum needed to run the site:

• Email — only if you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter.

• Technical navigation data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer. Aggregated and anonymized via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.

• Cookies — strictly necessary cookies plus, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can opt out anytime.

Why we collect it

Navigation data helps us understand which content actually helps and which tools matter most, without identifying individuals. Email is used exclusively to deliver the newsletter you signed up for — never repurposed for third-party marketing.

Who we share with

We share data with the following processors, all GDPR-compliant with appropriate contractual clauses:

• MailerLite — newsletter delivery.

• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage metrics.

• Google AdSense — display advertising (if active in your session).

• Vercel — hosting and CDN.

We never sell your data. We never share your email with third parties for marketing.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to AI tools are affiliate links. If you subscribe to a service through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. These links never alter review content: our verdicts are always based on hands-on testing.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, port, and restrict processing of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@theaiselect.com stating which right you wish to exercise. We respond within 30 days at most.

You can also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Data retention

Newsletter emails are kept while your subscription is active. You can unsubscribe with one click from any email footer. Analytics data is retained 14 months per Google Analytics defaults.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will surface the revision date above. Significant changes are emailed to newsletter subscribers before they take effect.
